Pickleball / Paddles + Gear
Hit it before you buy it.
Take a couple of paddles to the court. Feel the difference in power, control, hand speed and touch — then put what you spent demoing toward the one you keep. Southeastern Wisconsin’s court-sport shop since 1946.
The local advantage
Specs narrow it down. Court time tells you the truth.
Shape. Thickness. Weight. Surface. Grip. Those numbers help narrow the field, but they can’t tell you how a paddle feels when you’re resetting at the kitchen, speeding up a ball or putting one away. Some paddles give you easy power. Some give you touch. Some just feel better to you.
So tell us what you play with now, what you like about it and what you want more of. Then take a couple to the court and find out.
The demo program
Play first.
Decide later.
Take home a couple of paddles at a time for just $2 per paddle, per day. Play with them, compare them, bring them back and try something else. When you find the one you want, every dollar you spent demoing can go toward it within 90 days.
- 01Pick a couple. Take two paddles home.
- 02Go play. Dink with them, drive with them, serve with them — play actual points.
- 03Keep comparing. Swap them out and try others until something clicks.
- 04Pick your paddle. Put your demo fees toward it, up to 90 days later.
The paddles
A paddle for how you play.
More power off the face. More control in the soft game. A bigger sweet spot, faster hands at the net, more spin, more comfort. Maybe you’re buying your first real paddle, maybe you’ve outgrown the one you started with, or maybe you know exactly what you want and just want to compare a few first. Tell us about your game and we’ll help narrow down the wall — then you get to do the fun part: go play.
Need a little help?
Not sure what any of this means yet? Perfect.
Power. Control. Core thickness. Shape. Sweet spot. Spin. Swing weight. Pickleball equipment got complicated fast, and you don’t need to become a paddle engineer before you buy one.
Tell us how long you’ve been playing, what you’re using now and what you want your next paddle to do better. We’ll translate the rest.
Coming over from tennis?
Same movements.
Same shoes.
Stop, start, move sideways, change direction — that’s a different job than a running shoe is built for. Some shoes say pickleball on the box, but they’re the same model as the tennis shoe, so we just call them court shoes. The best way to buy them is still the old-fashioned way: put them on, move side to side, compare a few pairs.

The rest of the bag
The little things you always end up needing.
Balls. Grips and overgrips. Bags. Paddle covers. The stuff you don’t think about until the morning you need it — and the reason it helps to have a shop down the road instead of waiting on a delivery.
Ask while you’re in. If it’s not on the shelf, we’ll tell you straight.
Brands we carry
Seven brands. Plenty to compare.
Different shapes. Different constructions. Different feel. That’s why they’re on the wall instead of just on a screen — come compare them. …and more. Don’t see your brand? Ask — chances are we carry it, or we can get it.
Come play
Hit first.
Decide second.
Take a few out. Play actual games. Bring them back and try something different. When one starts feeling like your paddle, you’ll know — and we’ll put your demo credit toward it. Paddles come and go as players bring them back, so it’s worth asking what’s on the demo rack before you drive over.
